Billionaire businessman and father of Afrobeats star Davido, Adedeji Adeleke, has sparked reactions online after making a low-key appearance at his polling unit during the ongoing Osun governorship election.

Adeleke was seen at the polling unit on Saturday, August 15, as eligible voters across the state cast their ballots to elect the next governor of Osun State. Reports of his appearance, accompanied by photos circulating online, quickly attracted attention from social media users.
The businessman, who is the founder of Adeleke University and chief executive of Pacific Holdings, is also the father of Davido and the younger brother of incumbent Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Many online reactions focused on his simple appearance at the polling unit, with some users praising what they described as a humble and unassuming approach despite his wealth and status.
The 2026 Osun governorship election is being keenly contested, with 13 candidates on the final list. The major contenders include incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji and ADC candidate Najeem Salaam.

The election is taking place across the state’s 30 local government areas, with about 2.4 million registered voters expected to participate.
