Women from Soko community in Delta State have joined the growing protest across Isoko Nation, as residents intensify their campaign demanding urgent restoration of electricity under the slogan “Isoko Need Light, No Light, No Campaign.”

The women’s involvement marks a fresh wave of participation in the agitation, which has been building over the prolonged power outage affecting the area.
Only last month, youths across the region staged peaceful demonstrations over the same issue. That protest quickly spread across communities in both Isoko South and Isoko North, with residents from Irri, Emede, Ozoro, Ellu, Ofagbe, Olomoro, Emevor, Iyede, and other surrounding towns joining the call for action.
Now, with women groups stepping in, the movement appears to be gaining broader community backing, reflecting growing frustration over the persistent electricity crisis in the region.
