EFCC DECLARES LAGOS WOMAN WANTED OVER ALLEGED FRAUD CASE

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared a Lagos indigene, Halimat Tejuosho, wanted over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.

In a notice issued on Monday and signed by the agency’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, the EFCC said the 41-year-old suspect is being sought in connection with an ongoing investigation into financial crimes.

According to the Commission, Tejuosho’s last known address is House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.

“The public is hereby notified that Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence,” the statement read.

The anti-graft agency called on members of the public to assist with any credible information that could lead to her arrest, stressing that such information would be treated with confidentiality.

It further listed its zonal offices across the country—including Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Enugu, and others—as points where information could be reported.

The EFCC also encouraged citizens to reach out through its official communication channels or report the matter to the nearest police station or security agency.

The Commission said efforts are ongoing to ensure the suspect is apprehended and brought in for questioning as part of its investigation.
