The vehicles up for auction include a mix of luxury models and mid-range cars like the Toyota Camry. These assets were forfeited following court rulings.

EFCC’s Collaboration on Recovery Efforts

The EFCC highlighted its efforts to recover and return stolen assets. Last September, the commission handed over:

  • 53 vehicles
  • $180,300, including $164,000 recovered from a romance scam involving Canadian victim Elena Bogomas and $16,300 stolen from Sandra Butler.

EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede commended inter-agency collaboration, noting these successes were the result of partnerships with international law enforcement agencies in the fight against corruption.

The online auction represents another step in the commission’s commitment to transparency and accountability in asset recovery and management.
