In a statement issued on Monday, the commission said the content making rounds on social media has no connection to its operations and does not reflect any ongoing investigation.

According to ICPC spokesperson J. Okor Odey, the images, names, and claims contained in the video were fabricated and designed to mislead the public.

The anti-corruption agency clarified that it is not investigating any individual, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, group of lawyers, or judicial officer in relation to any alleged ₦50 billion bribery case, stressing that no such matter exists in its records.

It further warned that the video is entirely fictitious and urged the public to disregard it in its entirety.

The commission also cautioned those behind the creation and circulation of the video to stop immediately, adding that it will take legal action against individuals or groups responsible for spreading false information using its name.

ICPC reiterated that it remains committed to evidence-based investigations and urged Nigerians to rely only on official communication channels for verified information.
