Islamic ministers have called on Israel to reverse measures connected to settlement activities and other actions they said were aimed at changing the geographic and demographic character of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
The ministers also reaffirmed that Gaza remains an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, stressing the need for urgent steps to restore peace and stability in the region.
They called for the full and immediate implementation of US President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, saying the plan should help address the humanitarian crisis, improve security and create the conditions necessary for the reconstruction and recovery of Gaza.
The ministers further emphasised that efforts to end the conflict must lead to a lasting and comprehensive peace rather than a temporary ceasefire.
They maintained that the two-state solution remains the most viable path to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with an independent and sovereign Palestinian state living alongside Israel.
According to the ministers, the Palestinian state should be established on the basis of the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
They stressed that achieving lasting peace would require respect for international law, protection of the rights of Palestinians and concrete steps towards establishing a viable Palestinian state.
