JUMMAT MUBARAK! BLESSINGS OF THIS HOLY DAY THE 13TH DHUL QA’ADAH 1447 AH. (1ST MAY 2026) A DAY OF JUMMU’AH. PRAYERS, DUAS, HADITHS, VIDEOS.

Jumu’ah Reflection: A Day of Mercy, Forgiveness and Renewal

On this blessed Friday, a day described in Islamic tradition as the “best day on which the sun rises,” believers are invited to pause, reflect, and return to Allah with sincerity.
Jumu’ah is not merely a ritual—it is a weekly spiritual reset, a divine opportunity to seek forgiveness, renew faith, and realign one’s purpose.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِن يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
Yā ayyuhā alladhīna āmanū idhā nūdiya liṣ-ṣalāti min yawm al-jumu‘ati fas‘aw ilā dhikrillāhi wa dharū al-bay‘, dhālikum khayrun lakum in kuntum ta‘lamūn

(O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed for the prayer on Friday, hasten earnestly to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trade. That is better for you if only you knew — Qur’an 62:9)

This verse is both instruction and invitation—a call to prioritise the soul over the temporary demands of the world.

Today, as hearts gather in mosques and homes across nations, we raise a collective supplication:
Jumu’ah Prayer (with Transliteration):
Allāhumma fī hādhā yawm al-Jumu‘ah, ij‘al lanā fīhi nūran fī qulūbinā, wa sakīnah fī anfusinā, wa barakah fī أرزاقنا.

(Allāhumma fī hādhā yawm al-Jumu‘ah, ij‘al lanā fīhi nūran fī qulūbinā, wa sakīnah fī anfusinā, wa barakah fī arzāqinā)
(O Allah, on this blessed Friday, place light in our hearts, tranquillity in our souls, and blessings in our sustenance.)
Allāhumma ighfir lanā mā qaddamnā wa mā akhkharnā, wa mā asrarnā wa mā a‘lannā.

(O Allah, forgive our past and future sins, what we conceal and what we reveal.)

Allāhumma lā taj‘al ad-dunyā akbara hamminā, wa lā mablagha ‘ilminā, waj‘al al-jannata hiya dāranā wa qarāranā.

(O Allah, do not make this world our greatest concern nor the limit of our knowledge; make Paradise our home and final abode.)
Allah further reassures mankind of His boundless mercy:
قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا
Qul yā ‘ibādiya alladhīna asrafū ‘alā anfusihim lā taqnaṭū min raḥmatillāh, innallāha yaghfiru adh-dhunūba jamī‘ā
(Say: O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins — Qur’an 39:53)
This is the essence of Jumu’ah—hope, mercy, and return.

As the week closes and another begins, let this Friday not pass as routine. Let it be a turning point—towards better character, deeper faith, and stronger compassion for one another.

Closing Prayer:
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ‘alā Sayyidinā Muḥammad, wa ‘alā ālihi wa aṣḥābihi ajma‘īn.
Allāhumma taqabbal minnā, warzuqnā qalban salīman, wa lisānan dhākiran, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan.

(O Allah, send Your peace and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions. Accept from us, grant us pure hearts, tongues that remember You, and deeds that are accepted.)
Jumu’ah Mubarak.

May this day bring forgiveness for what has passed, strength for what lies ahead, and light for the journey of life.
Ameen.

Jumu’ah Prayer: Forgiveness, Adoration and Exaltation
On this sacred Friday, hearts turn to Allah in humility—seeking forgiveness, expressing adoration, and exalting His Majesty above all things. Jumu’ah is a moment to return, to reset, and to remember that no burden is too heavy for the One who controls all affairs.
Allah says:
فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ
Fa-dhkurūnī adhkurkum washkurū lī wa lā takfurūn
(So remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me and do not deny Me — Qur’an 2:152)

Prayer (with Transliteration):
Allāhumma yā Ghafūr, yā Raḥīm, ighfir lanā dhunūbanā kullahā—ṣaghīrahā wa kabīrahā, sirrahā wa ‘alāniyatahā.
(O Most Forgiving, Most Merciful, forgive all our sins—small and great, hidden and open.)
Subḥānaka Allāhumma wa biḥamdik, tabārakasmuk, wa ta‘ālā jadduk, wa lā ilāha ghayruk.
(Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. Blessed is Your Name, exalted is Your Majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You.)
Allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīh, kamā yanbaghī li-jalāli wajhik wa ‘aẓīmi sulṭānik.
(All praise is Yours—abundant, pure, and blessed praise—as befits Your Majesty and Greatness.)
Allah further reminds us:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ • وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ • وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Subḥāna rabbika rabbil-‘izzati ‘ammā yaṣifūn • wa salāmun ‘alā al-mursalīn • wal-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-‘ālamīn
(Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, above what they describe. Peace be upon the messengers. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of all worlds — Qur’an 37:180–182)
Closing Supplication:
Allāhumma taqabbal minnā, wa’fu ‘annā, wa’j‘alnā min ‘ibādika aṣ-ṣāliḥīn.
(O Allah, accept from us, pardon us, and make us among Your righteous servants.)
Jumu’ah Mubarak. May your heart be cleansed, your faith elevated, and your prayers answered.
