Kaduna has spoken, and its political message has reverberated across Nigeria.

The successful flag-off of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign on Saturday, October 24, delivered a formidable demonstration of the All Progressives Congress’s political strength, organisational capacity and determination to secure another four-year mandate.

For the National Patriots Movement of Nigeria, the impressive gathering was more than a ceremonial campaign launch. It represented a powerful expression of solidarity, bringing together governors, political leaders, elected representatives, grassroots organisations and enthusiastic supporters from Northern Nigeria and beyond.

Politics is a game of numbers, not noise. The APC has demonstrated its ability to mobilise substantial political support within a remarkably short period. The challenge confronting opposition parties is whether they possess comparable nationwide structures, political relationships and grassroots influence.

The enthusiastic reception has established an encouraging trajectory for President Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

WEDNESDAY REVEALS THE PROMISE OF FRIDAY

A familiar Hausa proverb declares:

“Juma’ar da za ta yi kyau, tun daga Laraba ake gane ta.”

The Friday that will be good begins showing its signs from Wednesday.

The National Patriots considers this wisdom particularly appropriate following Kaduna’s successful outing.

The enthusiasm, unity and political commitment displayed at the rally offer an early indication of the strength of President Tinubu’s electoral coalition.

Kaduna has provided a compelling opening statement, demonstrating the organisational advantages available to the ruling party as the presidential contest gathers momentum.

SHETTIMA REMINDS THE NORTH OF TINUBU’S POLITICAL LOYALTY

Vice President Kashim Shettima delivered a significant message concerning President Tinubu’s longstanding political relationship with Northern Nigeria.

He reminded northerners that Tinubu supported prominent northern presidential candidates long before becoming President.

These included former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in 2007, Nuhu Ribadu in 2011 and Muhammadu Buhari during the political coalition that brought the APC to power in 2015.

Shettima’s message underscored Tinubu’s history of political cooperation, loyalty and commitment to building alliances across Nigeria’s regional and religious divisions.

President Tinubu did not discover Northern Nigeria upon assuming the presidency. His political relationships with the region were cultivated over decades through cooperation, sacrifice and strategic partnerships.

This political history remains an important foundation of his national coalition.

UBA SANI: NORTHERN DEVELOPMENT DESERVES RECOGNITION

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani reinforced the administration’s development record, highlighting federal interventions in infrastructure, education, security and agriculture.

Among the strategic investments are the Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano highway and other major transportation corridors designed to strengthen commercial connectivity across Northern Nigeria.

These projects are particularly important to farmers, traders, transport operators and businesses dependent upon reliable road infrastructure.

Governor Uba Sani also highlighted initiatives aimed at restoring educational and healthcare services in communities previously affected by insecurity.

His declaration that Northern Nigeria would reciprocate President Tinubu’s commitment through electoral support reflected the confidence expressed by APC leaders at the rally.

The National Patriots commends Governor Uba Sani for his leadership and successful coordination of the Kaduna campaign launch.

KWANKWASO: NORTH-WEST DEMONSTRATES ITS POLITICAL PREFERENCE

APC Presidential Campaign Council chieftain Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso described the Kaduna gathering as evidence of the North-West’s determination to support President Tinubu’s re-election.

His declaration reinforced the political solidarity expressed by northern leaders and underscored the strategic importance of the region.

The North-West remains one of Nigeria’s most consequential electoral zones, making its political orientation particularly significant to presidential calculations.

The National Patriots believes the APC’s northern alliances, combined with its extensive structures across the federation, provide President Tinubu with a substantial advantage ahead of January 2027.

TINUBU’S LIVELY APPEARANCE CHALLENGES OPPOSITION NARRATIVES

President Tinubu’s animated presence at the VIP stand provided another memorable feature of the occasion.

The President appeared cheerful, relaxed and enthusiastic, interacting freely with political associates, exchanging conversations and dancing during the celebrations.

His lively disposition presented a striking contrast to the negative portrayals frequently promoted by political opponents.

Beyond the celebrations, President Tinubu’s willingness to undertake difficult economic reforms reflects his determination to confront longstanding structural challenges rather than postpone necessary decisions.

The National Patriots considers his commitment to leaving a lasting legacy of economic restructuring and national development central to his leadership.

THREE YEARS OF REFORM, EIGHT YEARS OF TRANSFORMATION

President Tinubu’s administration has undertaken significant economic restructuring through petrol subsidy removal, foreign-exchange reforms, fiscal adjustments and infrastructure investment.

These measures have imposed considerable adjustment pressures, particularly on households confronting higher living costs.

The National Patriots acknowledges these difficulties while recognising the importance of correcting economic distortions accumulated over previous administrations.

The next phase must prioritise food affordability, employment, electricity, transportation, agricultural productivity and stronger social protection.

President Tinubu’s second-term ambition offers an opportunity to consolidate the reforms already undertaken and translate economic restructuring into broader improvements in citizens’ welfare.

The National Patriots believes this objective should remain central to the campaign’s engagement with Nigerians, particularly undecided voters.

NATIONAL PATRIOTS COMMEND APC LEADERSHIP AND STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

The National Patriots congratulates the APC Presidential Campaign Council, its Director-General Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Governor Uba Sani, northern political leaders, APC governors nationwide, party executives and grassroots coordinators for the successful Kaduna campaign flag-off.

Special recognition goes to Mr Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development and APC Campaign Spokesperson, and Mr Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, for their professional coordination of strategic communications and assembly of a vibrant, resourceful team of experienced professionals, including Barrister Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, Secretary to the Lagos State Government; Princess Gloria Adebajo-Fraser, MFR, Publisher of Headlinenews.News; and Mr Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister.

The Movement also applauds First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her compassionate leadership and nationwide social intervention programmes through the Renewed Hope Initiative, supporting women, youth and vulnerable communities.

Their collective contributions reflect the strength, professionalism and commitment underpinning President Tinubu’s 2027 campaign.

NATIONAL PATRIOTS’ POSITION: KADUNA HAS SET THE PACE FOR 2027

Former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan observed:

“Good governance is perhaps the single most important factor in eradicating poverty and promoting development.”

This principle captures the responsibility confronting every government seeking renewed public confidence.

The National Patriots believes President Tinubu’s second-term campaign should continue demonstrating how economic reforms, infrastructure development and social interventions will improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

The Kaduna flag-off has provided a powerful beginning, showcasing the ruling party’s political organisation, the commitment of its leadership and the enthusiasm of its supporters.

The opposition is welcome to present credible alternatives. However, politics of bitterness, malicious social media attacks, deliberate misinformation and fabricated narratives are unacceptable and demonstrate a disturbing lack of political maturity. Nigerians deserve constructive political competition founded on competence, credibility, measurable achievements, integrity and realistic programmes capable of advancing national development.

The National Patriots remains confident that President Tinubu’s nationwide political alliances, reform agenda and established grassroots structures provide a formidable foundation for victory in January 2027.

The Hausa proverb has already provided the appropriate conclusion.

Kaduna has shown the signs of a promising Friday. The National Patriots looks forward to January 16, 2027, with confidence, faith and optimism.

Three years of reform. Eight years of transformation.
