The lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has organised a large-scale prayer gathering involving about 2,000 Islamic clerics in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The religious session was held at a Jumu’ah mosque built by the lawmaker in Kofa, Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, and brought together Imams and Ulamas from across the region.
The event also featured Islamic scholar Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, who praised the clerics for their commitment and encouraged continued prayers for national leaders, describing President Tinubu as a capable leader who should be supported for unity and development.

Speaking after the gathering, Jibrin expressed appreciation to the clerics for their participation and reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu, noting what he described as the administration’s development efforts in northern Nigeria.
He further urged religious leaders to spread the message within their communities, stressing the importance of prayers and civic engagement in maintaining national stability.

The event concluded with a wider political mobilisation at the lawmaker’s residence, where he reportedly launched a door-to-door outreach campaign in support of Tinubu and Governor Yusuf across Kano South and other parts of the state.

Jibrin, who is seeking another term in office, said the initiative is aimed at strengthening grassroots support for APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections and promoting continued engagement with local communities.
