#Kemi Badenoch: “I Don’t Believe in God Anymore, but I’m Not an Atheist”

Kemi Badenoch, leader of the United Kingdom’s Conservative Party, has made a personal revelation about her faith, stating that she no longer believes in God.

In an appearance on a podcast hosted by Bari Weiss, editor of The Free Press, Badenoch explained her current stance on religion. She clarified that while she is no longer a believer, she does not identify as an atheist but rather as an agnostic.

“I don’t believe in God anymore. But I am not an atheist, I am agnostic,” Badenoch said during the podcast. She further described herself as a “cultural Christian” and explained her perspective on the importance of belief:

“I used to believe in God very much, but now I describe myself as a cultural Christian. I don’t think it matters if people believe in God or not. What matters is what they do with the belief or the lack of it.”

Badenoch’s remarks add to her reputation as a complex and sometimes polarizing political figure, sparking discussions about faith and its role in public life.
