A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her ordeal of being stranded in Lagos following a failed visit to a man who allegedly invited her over.
According to her account, the incident began after the man asked her to travel from Ibadan to Lagos to see him. She said she honored the invitation and made the journey, only to be left disappointed upon arrival.
The lady claimed that upon getting to Lagos, the man refused to pick her calls and later told her he had seen her through the window but chose not to come out because she “looked like a grandma.”
In a video circulating online, she expressed frustration and distress over the situation, stating that she had been left stranded without money to return home. She added that she had been walking around the area repeatedly, unsure of what to do next.
“How can you ask someone to come all the way from Ibadan to Lagos and then refuse to pick calls? You said you saw me and that I looked like a grandma. Now I’m stranded here without transport fare. You’ve made me look like a fool,” she lamented.
She added, “I have been walking around the street for like 5 times now, what I am I going to do now, I no get transport guy, I don’t have transport, this guy rendered me useless, I swear to God almighty, people are just passing, looking me like a mad person, I don’t understand, I don’t have transport to go back, guys please I ma stranded.”
The incident has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many users criticizing the man’s actions, while others advised caution when meeting people for the first time.
