He made this known during a visit to victims receiving treatment at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Specialist Hospital in Minna, where he assured residents that security agencies had already begun intensified operations in response to renewed violence in the Shiroro axis.

According to him, he had contacted relevant security authorities before leaving Abuja and received confirmation that reinforcements were being sent to the affected areas. He also noted that the Niger State Government had taken immediate steps to contain the situation.

Senator Musa described the attacks as deeply unfortunate and said their nature suggests the use of unconventional tactics by the perpetrators. He added that improved intelligence sharing and coordinated operations among security agencies would be critical in tracking down those responsible and preventing further incidents.

He extended condolences to families who lost loved ones and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restoring lasting peace in Shiroro and surrounding communities.

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Director of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Specialist Hospital, Bala Waziri, confirmed that several injured victims were admitted following the attacks. He said about 13 patients were initially treated for gunshot wounds, fractures, and other trauma-related injuries, with some discharged after stabilisation while others continue to respond to treatment.

Reports indicate that more than 40 people, including security operatives, vigilantes, and civilians, were killed in the attacks on Bagna, Erena, and Yelwa communities in Shiroro Local Government Area, with houses also set ablaze.

Security agencies are continuing intensified operations in the area, relying on intelligence to track and apprehend the attackers.
