The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced plans to blacklist organisations that fail to provide adequate welfare and suitable working conditions for corps members posted to them.

The scheme said the move is aimed at protecting the welfare of corps members and ensuring that employers comply with the standards expected of organisations participating in the NYSC programme.

According to the NYSC, companies and institutions that neglect their responsibilities or fail to provide a safe and supportive work environment risk being sanctioned, including being barred from receiving corps members in the future.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the interests of corps members and ensuring they serve in organisations that meet the required welfare standards.
