Oluwole Oke, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign for the Osun 2026 governorship election, has suggested that Governor Ademola Adeleke may not appear on the ballot due to an internal leadership dispute involving the Accord Party currently before the court.

Speaking to journalists after a political engagement in Osun State, Oke expressed confidence that the APC would secure a dominant victory across most local government areas in the forthcoming election, claiming strong grassroots support for the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
He also predicted that opposition parties, including the Accord Party and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), would collectively win only a small number of local government areas in the state.

Oke argued that the APC remains the most organized political platform in the state, insisting that its candidate possesses stronger credentials and broader acceptance among voters compared to rivals.
He further referenced ongoing disputes within opposition parties, suggesting that such internal conflicts could weaken their chances in the 2026 governorship race.

In his remarks, he also pointed to grassroots mobilization efforts by the party, including reported defections from opposition groups and growing support among local communities.

Additionally, a pro-APC group known as the Ajisope Political Movement claimed it is actively expanding its support base across Osun State, while also expressing confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s governorship candidate.
The Fulani community in Osun State also reportedly endorsed the APC candidate, signaling continued political alignments ahead of the election.
