OUTRAGE TRAILS SOUTH AFRICA’S REFUSAL TO GRANT ENTRY VISA TO BUA CHAIRMAN

Former Nigerian senator Shehu Sani has criticised the South African government following the reported denial of entry to Abdul Samad Rabiu, founder and chairman of BUA Group.

Rabiu had disclosed during a business forum in Kigali, Rwanda, that he was refused entry into South Africa after his visa expired just a day before his planned trip.

He further claimed that while he was denied access, some European travellers were reportedly allowed into the country without requiring visas, raising concerns over the fairness of the immigration process.

Reacting to the incident, Shehu Sani faulted the decision, questioning South Africa’s visa handling procedures and what he described as inconsistent treatment of African business leaders compared to other foreign nationals.

The development has sparked renewed discussion about travel restrictions, diplomatic relations, and investment mobility within the African continent.
