At Polling Unit 003, Ward 01, Court Hall 1, Okuku, in Odo-Otin Local Government Area, the Accord Party candidate and incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, secured 125 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, polled 84 votes.
Oyinlola had recently withdrawn his support for Adeleke and endorsed Oyebamiji of the APC ahead of the election.
The result therefore represents a notable setback for the former governor, who cast his vote at the same polling unit.
Other parties recorded significantly fewer votes, with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) securing five votes and the African Action Congress (AAC) recording two votes. The SDP, YPP and ZLP each obtained one vote.
