Among those who welcomed him were Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and other senior government officials.

According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu used his visit to France to engage with international investors, where he defended his administration’s economic reforms and stressed the importance of transparency and fiscal discipline.

While in Nairobi, the president attended the Africa Forward Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto. During the summit, Tinubu called for reforms to the global financial system and advocated for stronger economic cooperation across Africa.

He also spoke on Nigeria’s blue economy potential, promising to support Gulf of Guinea countries with maritime intelligence infrastructure.

Tinubu further held talks with Madagascan President Michael Randrianirina during his stay in Kenya.

In Kigali, he participated in the Africa CEO Forum alongside African leaders, investors and business executives, where discussions focused on regional integration and investment opportunities across the continent.

The Nigerian president also met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame as well as representatives of multinational organisations including the International Finance Corporation, APM Terminals and Winme Group.

The presidency stated that the engagements produced positive outcomes and also revealed that Tinubu would take part in the All Progressives Congress primaries scheduled to begin on Saturday in Lagos.

The president had earlier advised party members involved in the primaries to maintain peace and demonstrate sportsmanship throughout the exercise.
