Operatives of the Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) of the Ogun State Police Command, have recorded a breakthrough in the crackdown on violent crimes with the arrest of two key suspects belonging to a notorious “One Chance” robbery syndicate operating within the Abeokuta metropolis. The suspects, identified as Bidemi Tijani ‘m’ aged 29 and Olajide Rasaq ‘m’ aged 42, were apprehended on 15th August, 2026, following an intelligence-led operation.
The arrest was effected after the Command received an actionable intelligence revealing that members of the syndicate who routinely disguise as commercial taxi operators to dispossess unsuspecting passengers of their mobile phones, cash, and valuable items were sighted in a taxi heading towards the Ita-Oshin area of Abeokuta.
