A compilation of 14 empowerment, funding, skills development and employment programmes currently available to Nigerian youths has gained traction online, drawing attention from young people seeking financial support, job opportunities and career development.
The list, shared on Monday by an X user, features initiatives introduced by the Federal Government, its agencies and development partners. The programmes cover key sectors including education, digital technology, entrepreneurship, healthcare, manufacturing, vocational training and the creative industry.

Among the opportunities are an interest-free student loan scheme for tertiary students, free Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with a monthly stipend of ₦45,000, and the Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, which provides digital skills training alongside employment support.
The compilation also includes the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) Startup Grants, offering up to ₦1 million for youth-led businesses and ₦500,000 for beneficiaries in the informal sector. In addition, the NiYA Gig Digital Work Platform connects young Nigerians with paid digital jobs both within the country and internationally.

Other programmes highlighted are the National Youth Development Bank, which provides funding for youth-owned businesses, and the Digital Literacy for All Initiative aimed at increasing Nigeria’s digital literacy rate by 2027.
The list further features the Labour Employment and Empowerment Programme (LEEP), the NDE Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, the CNG-Powered Tricycle Empowerment Scheme, the Ministry of Steel Development Youth Bootcamp, the Nigeria Health Fellowship, SMEDAN Creative and Garment Studios, and the NDDC Youth Entrepreneurship Fund, which offers ₦30 billion in support for entrepreneurs in the Niger Delta.

The opportunities continue to attract interest as many young Nigerians explore avenues for funding, skills acquisition and employment amid current economic conditions.

While some of the programmes are currently receiving applications, others operate on scheduled application cycles. Interested applicants are encouraged to verify eligibility requirements, application deadlines and other details through the official government platforms before submitting their applications.
