The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva has joined the Bayelsa State Governorship race.
According to headlinenews.news investigative reports, friends of the Minister on his behalf purchased the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination and expression of interest forms for the Bayelsa Governorship election slated for November 11, 2023.
Headlinenews.news gathered that a group of friends stormed the National Secretariat of the ruling APC on Monday, February 20, 2023, to pick the nomination form in honour of the Minister from the Directorate of Organisation at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
Recall that Sylvia, who was Bayelsa Governor between 2008–2012.
He was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources in 2019.
