The North-West zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence in maintaining its strong electoral influence, pledging to deliver significant bloc votes for the party in the 2027 general elections.

This commitment was made in a communiqué released after the zone’s first meeting held at the APC Zonal Secretariat in Kaduna. The gathering, which followed the March 25 zonal congress, was presided over by the National Vice Chairman (North-West), Garba Datti Muhammad.

According to the communiqué signed by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mailafiya Mada, discussions focused on strengthening the region’s long-standing role as a key vote contributor for presidential elections since 1999.
The leaders resolved to work closely with stakeholders across the region to ensure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC governors in the North-West, and all party candidates at both national and state levels in 2027.

They also agreed to adopt a “campaign of facts” strategy aimed at promoting the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda, highlighting achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security, including projects under the North West Development Commission.
The zone further pledged to strengthen internal unity, maintain peace within the party structure, and proactively address emerging political challenges ahead of the elections. It also vowed to counter misinformation from opposition groups targeting the APC’s image.

Party officials present at the meeting included zonal executives such as Isah Sadiq Achida, Barr. Bashir Usaini Dutse, Salisu Uba Tsafe, Abdulhamid Umar Ahmed, Hadiza Alhaji, and Dahiru Gambo Rafin Dadi.
Overall, the zone reaffirmed its readiness to remain a major political stronghold for the APC as the 2027 elections approach.
