Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima following his retention as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for a second term.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, on Tuesday in Abuja, Radda described the decision as a reflection of the confidence President Tinubu has in Shettima’s performance and commitment since assuming office.

The governor said the Vice President has demonstrated dedication in carrying out his responsibilities and that his continued place on the ticket is a recognition of his loyalty and contributions to the administration.

Radda highlighted Shettima’s leadership of several key government initiatives, including chairing the Presidential Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), overseeing efforts to strengthen energy security, and participating in the formulation of economic policies.

According to the governor, these assignments required strong administrative capacity and sound political judgment, adding that the President’s decision to retain Shettima reflects satisfaction with how those responsibilities have been handled.

On behalf of the Katsina State Government and its residents, Radda congratulated the Vice President, describing the retention as well-deserved recognition of his dedication and service to the country.
He also expressed optimism that Shettima would continue to play a significant role in advancing the administration’s objectives during its second term.
