Her health challenges reportedly began after a distressing near-air mishap, an incident said to have triggered her deteriorating vision.
For weeks, her absence from social media fueled speculation. Renowned for her steadfast commitment to spreading the gospel, her silence left many concerned about her well-being.
Then, on March 8, International Women’s Day, Alakija broke her silence. With unwavering resolve, she celebrated women, encouraged them to embrace the day’s theme, and urged them to break barriers.
She accoompanied her post with the caption; “As we globally celebrate the strides achieved towards gender equity, it is evident that there is still so much more to do. Now, more than ever before is the time to move beyond words and to #accelerateaction for women across the globe.
It’s time to break many more glass ceilings, remove structural barriers and ensure that opportunities are created for women where they don’t currently exist! Together we can drive this change!”
