اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنَا فِي مَنْ هَدَيْتَ، وَعَافِنَا فِي مَنْ عَافَيْتَ، وَتَوَلَّنَا فِي مَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ
Qur’an Verse for the 18th Day of Ramadan:
“ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِى ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلْكٰظِمِينَ ٱلْغَيْظَ وَٱلْعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا۟ فَٰحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسْتَغْفَرُوا۟ لِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۚ وَمَن يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ”
“Those who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people – and Allah loves the doers of good; and those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins – and who can forgive sins except Allah? And [they] do not persist in what they have done while they know.”

RAMADAN MUBARAK 🙏
Here are some recommended prayers (duas) for the 18th day of Ramadan:
1. General Supplication for the 18th Day of Ramadan
اللهمّ نبّهني فيه لبركات أسحاره، ونوّر قلبي بضياء أنواره، وخذ بيدي إلى ما يرضيك، يا مُجيب دعوة المضطرين.
Transliteration:
Allahumma nabbihni fihi li-barakaati as-haarihi, wa nawwir qalbi bi-dhiyaai anwaarihi, wa khudh bi-yadi ilaa ma yurdiika, ya Mujiba da’wat al-mudtarreen.
Translation:
“O Allah, awaken me to the blessings of its early mornings, illuminate my heart with the brightness of its lights, and guide me towards what pleases You, O Responder to the prayers of the desperate.”

2. Dua for Forgiveness and Mercy
اللهم إنك عفو كريم تحب العفو فاعفُ عني.
Transliteration:
Allahumma innaka ‘Afuwwun Karim, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni.
Translation:
“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, Most Generous. You love to forgive, so forgive me.”

3. Quranic Dua for Guidance and Strength
رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ (Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:8)
Transliteration:
Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba‘da idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmatan, innaka Antal-Wahhab.

“Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower.”

Since the 18th night of Ramadan is close to the last ten nights, you can also say this:
اللهم بلغنا ليلة القدر، وارزقنا فيها الرحمة والمغفرة والعتق من النار.
Transliteration:
Allahumma ballighna Laylatul Qadr, warzuqna fiha ar-Rahmah, wal-Maghfirah, wal-Itq min an-Nar.
Translation:
“O Allah, allow us to reach Laylatul Qadr and grant us mercy, forgiveness, and freedom from the Fire.”

“O Messenger of Allah, if I find Laylatul Qadr, what should I say?”
He replied:
“Say: اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني (Allahumma innaka ‘Afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni).”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi, 3513)
Even though Laylatul Qadr is in the last ten nights, this hadith reminds us to always seek Allah’s forgiveness, especially in the latter part of Ramadan.

Surah Al-Mu’minun (23:1-2)
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى صَلَاتِهِمْ خَٰشِعُونَ
