#Natasha Hails INEC for Dismissing Recall Attempt: “One Battle Down, Two to Go”(VIDEO)

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for rejecting the petition to recall her from the Senate, describing the move as a win for democracy and the people.

In an emotional reaction shared via her official Facebook page, Natasha celebrated the electoral umpire’s decision, saying, “On God, it’s victory for the people. One battle down, two more to go.”

INEC Upholds Constitution, Rejects Petition

INEC had earlier declared that the recall petition failed to meet constitutional requirements, rendering it invalid and unprocessable. The senator expressed gratitude to INEC for standing firm in the face of pressure from what she referred to as “undemocratic elements” both within Kogi State and the Senate.

She extended appreciation to her husband, support team, and constituents, stating:
“Deep gratitude to my beloved husband, awesome support team, magnificent people of Kogi Central, and great people of Nigeria at large. INEC Nigeria, you did well.”

A Message to Political Adversaries

In a separate statement released by her media team, Senator Natasha directly addressed former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, whom she described as one of the orchestrators behind the failed recall effort.

“God has put to shame anti-democratic forces plotting my recall from the Senate, including one of the most wanted persons by the EFCC, former governor Yahaya Bello,” she stated.

She emphasized her confidence throughout the ordeal, crediting her unwavering faith in God and the support of her people:
“I did not exercise any fear because I have a God that never fails, and I have people on my side.”

Justice vs Injustice

Calling the development a “justice against injustice,” she praised INEC for showing independence and integrity:
“INEC has proven to be truly independent, and history will never forget this justice. I commend the umpire for shaming the shameless agents of darkness.”

Natasha declared this victory as another step in her broader mission to bring justice to the oppressed and restore integrity to Nigerian politics, vowing to continue holding her ground against political manipulation.

“We have defeated them again… This is a record-breaking moment against the manipulators, election riggers, and merchants of violence in Kogi Central and beyond. Your days in politics are numbered,” she warned.
