#WATCH: 3 Georgia Teenagers Caught on Camera Beating Their Teacher — And It Only Gets Worse

A shocking video from DeKalb County, Georgia, shows three teenagers assaulting a teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. High School — and the footage has since gone viral, sparking widespread outrage online. The incident, which took place on Tuesday (April 22), reportedly began with a confrontation between a staff member and three students, though the exact cause remains unclear. According to a statement from the district, the students initiated the physical altercation, and the teacher fought back.

In the disturbing video, a young man approaches a Black male teacher and punches him directly in the face. A security guard intervenes, holding the student back as the teacher, whose glasses were knocked off, attempts to retaliate. The teacher lands a punch on the student before a second student shoves him to the ground. As he tries to stand and re-engage, a third student joins the assault, pushing and striking him while another student shouts, “Stick his ass, J!”

An adult employee attempts to break up the chaos as other students watch and egg on the violence.

The situation has now led to criminal charges. The three students have been charged with battery and disrupting a public school, the district confirmed. Meanwhile, the teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation. Officials emphasized that they will enforce the Code of Student Conduct for everyone involved, including the teacher, whose name has not been released. In a statement, the DeKalb County School District said, “The DeKalb County School District is firmly committed to maintaining learning environments free from violent behavior and will not tolerate physical altercations in our schools.”
