President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to visit Kano today to offer his condolences to the government and people of the state, as well as the family of the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a revered elder statesman, industrialist, and philanthropist.
The visit was confirmed in a statement released on Thursday by Sunusi Bature, spokesperson to Governor Abba Yusuf. According to the statement, the president’s visit is a gesture of national unity and a tribute to the enduring legacy of the late Dantata.
Governor Yusuf urged residents to receive the president with warmth and orderliness, in line with Kano’s tradition of hospitality and deep respect for leadership.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata recently passed away, leaving behind a legacy defined by public service, philanthropy, and major contributions to Nigeria’s economic development.
The state government has put in place comprehensive security and logistical measures to ensure a smooth and respectful visit.
