The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Okelo Madukaife, has expressed confidence that his party will win the November 8 governorship election.

Madukaife said the APC candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, is making strong progress across the state, describing the party’s chances as “bright and unstoppable.” He dismissed reports of widespread endorsements for Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), calling them “mere propaganda.”
According to him, the supposed community “donations” to the governor are a cover for diverting local government funds to finance APGA’s campaign. “It’s a badly executed drama with Soludo as director,” he said, insisting that the funds claimed as donations far exceed what communities could realistically raise during economic hardship.

Madukaife also argued that APGA’s 20-year hold on power does not reflect genuine public support, citing controversies from past elections. “Anambra is ready for change. No party stays in power forever,” he stated.
He dismissed insinuations that President Bola Tinubu and national APC leaders are not backing their candidate, saying, “That’s APGA’s propaganda. Our party is united and focused.”

Addressing allegations about the qualification of the APC ticket and the N50 million campaign permit controversy, Madukaife said both issues were baseless. “We have met all legal requirements. The so-called fees are a form of political intimidation, but nothing will stop us. APGA is a failed government, and we’re ready to win in a free and fair election.”
