The Ondo State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped woman, Oluwaseun Adebayo, and arrested four suspects in Akure.

Police spokesperson DSP Olushola Ayanlade said the incident occurred on November 4 along Weluwelu Street, Oda, when a good Samaritan reported that four men in an unregistered Toyota Camry had abducted a woman.
Operatives swiftly mobilised and blocked the suspects’ route near Shoprite Roundabout, rescuing the victim unharmed and arresting the culprits. The vehicle, described as a “Muscle Camry,” was also recovered.
Ayanlade said the suspects were taking the victim to an unknown location before being intercepted. He praised the prompt citizen alert and police coordination that prevented another abduction tragedy.
Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal commended his men’s professionalism and thanked residents for their vigilance, saying the collaboration reflects growing public trust in law enforcement.

The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue. The rescue follows the recent parade of 13 suspects arrested for cultism, robbery, kidnapping, and fraud across Ondo State.
