The Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) and Mobolaji Johnson Arena (MJA) in Onikan will be the main hubs for the Lagos Women Run on Saturday morning.
The 10km run/walk, now in its 10th edition, will kick off from TBS, with participants finishing at MJA, where post-race festivities will take place.
Organised by Gym Assured Marathon and Road Race Organisation in partnership with the Lagos State Government and a group of women professionals experienced in sports management and women-focused initiatives, the event has steadily grown in popularity since its inception in 2016. Plans are also in motion to extend it to other parts of the country.
Race coordinator Tayo Popoola confirmed that preparations were complete for the event. “We are ready and grateful to the Lagos State Government for their consistent support. Our three-day EXPO was a huge success, and we are looking forward to a fun-filled Saturday with all participants,” he said.
The Lagos Women Run continues to promote fitness, wellness, and female empowerment, bringing together participants from across the country and beyond in a celebration of health and community.
