The Ogun State Police Command has foiled a robbery attempt in Sagamu and recovered a black Lexus GS 350 used by the suspects.

According to the command’s spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, officers from the Sakura Division swiftly responded to a distress call at about 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday after five armed men tried to break into a house in the Okearedi, Araromi area, off the Sagamu–Ijebu Ode Expressway.
The suspects fled upon sighting the police, abandoning their vehicle, which contained fireworks believed to be intended for distraction during the operation.
Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, praised the officers for their professionalism and quick action. He said the command had strengthened patrols and deployed personnel to key areas across the state as part of its end-of-year security measures.

Ogunlowo urged residents to stay vigilant, light up dark areas, and follow the command’s verified social media platforms for real-time security updates.
