Posters featuring former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, have appeared across major streets in Kaduna, triggering speculation about early political activity ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The posters, which prominently display Amaechi’s image, describe him as “the only person to be trusted” and “the only man for the job.” The accompanying messages focus on themes of unity, equality, stability and development.

Amaechi, who holds the traditional title of Dan Amanan Kasar Hausa of Daura, has previously served as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation.
Residents reported that the posters were displayed at several strategic locations across Kaduna metropolis, including Ahmadu Bello Way, Ali Akilu Way, areas around the Kaduna State Government House, and the Kawo Bridge axis leading toward Zaria.
The sudden appearance of the posters drew attention from motorists and pedestrians, with traffic reportedly slowing in parts of Kawo Bridge during the early hours as people stopped to observe the displays.

Although Amaechi has not made any official declaration regarding the 2027 presidential race, the posters have intensified speculation about a possible return to national politics.
Amaechi contested the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in 2022, where he finished second behind President Bola Tinubu.
