Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, widely known as Jandor, has signalled his intention to run for the Lagos State governorship in 2027 under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement came via a campaign flyer he shared on Wednesday, which read, “Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran Jandor for Governor, Lagos State 2027.”
On the same day, Jandor also launched his campaign website, presenting it as a key step in his preparations for the APC governorship primaries.

“I am thrilled to announce the official launch of www……, the digital hub of our journey towards the 2027 Lagos State APC Governorship Primaries,” he said in a Facebook post.
He described the platform as more than a website, calling it an “open civic space” where Lagos residents can engage with his vision, share ideas, and help shape policies aimed at fostering a more prosperous state.
While recognising that other aspirants may emerge within the party, Jandor said his focus remains on party leadership, members, and the people of Lagos.
“Although there may be other qualified aspirants who have yet to formally declare, my attention remains on party leaders, members, and the citizens of Lagos,” he stated.
Emphasising collective responsibility, he urged Lagosians to participate in shaping the future of the state. “Real change is a shared responsibility. Visit the site today to explore our roadmap for an inclusive Lagos and join the conversation. Together, we can build the Lagos we all deserve,” he added.

Jandor previously contested the 2023 Lagos governorship election as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, with Nollywood actress Funke Akindele as his running mate. He finished third behind the APC and Labour Party candidates.
He formally rejoined the APC in March, after leaving the PDP, citing indiscipline and widespread anti-party activities within the opposition.
His return, however, was met with criticism. Lagos PDP Deputy Chairman Tai Benedict accused him of being a strategic move by the APC to weaken the opposition party.
