The Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Oba Rilwan Akiolu, has urged Nigerians to maintain confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The appeal was made on Wednesday when Oba Akiolu received a courtesy visit from the 46th Flag Officer Commanding of the Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral A. A. Mustapha, at the Lagos palace.

The monarch revealed that he had a dream indicating that President Tinubu would serve a full eight-year tenure. He also expressed optimism about the president’s reform agenda, describing current economic challenges as part of necessary measures that will ultimately benefit the nation.
“I dreamt that President Tinubu would be re-elected and serve for eight years. While the country is facing difficulties today, these challenges are sacrifices for a stronger and more prosperous future,” Oba Akiolu said.
He stressed that rebuilding and securing Nigeria requires the active participation of all citizens, not just the government.

The Oba also commended the Nigerian Navy for their professionalism and dedication, highlighting the strategic importance of naval operations to the security of Lagos, which he said is vital for national stability.
In addition, he called for the establishment of a joint intelligence board to enhance collaboration and intelligence-sharing among Nigeria’s security agencies.
