LAGOS, OGUN UNVEIL STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS TEAM TO SHOWCASE TINUBU’S REFORM MILESTONES, NATIONAL PATRIOTS ADVISE.

Lagos and Ogun states have launched initiatives to sensitise residents on the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu inaugurated the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a grassroots movement aimed at spreading awareness of the President’s policies and accomplishments across all 57 local councils. The programme, part of a national framework led by Progressives Governors’ Forum Chairman and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, is designed to engage communities, markets, campuses, and polling units.

Sanwo-Olu appointed 20 coordinators for the initiative, led by his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, and donated 20 branded buses to support mobilisation and logistics. He described the project as a civic awareness platform, clarifying that it is not a campaign rally, but a means to inform citizens about government programmes and achievements.

The governor highlighted the President’s accomplishments over the past three years, including:

  • Infrastructure expansion

  • Economic stabilisation

  • Increased foreign direct investment

  • Implementation of a new minimum wage

  • Reduced debt burden

  • Lower inflation

  • Improved social welfare initiatives

Sanwo-Olu urged coordinators to take the awareness campaigns to every neighbourhood, ward, and community, stressing that the success of the initiative depended on unity and active engagement.

In Ogun State, Governor Dapo Abiodun led a stakeholders meeting at the June 12 Centre in Abeokuta, outlining the gains of President Tinubu’s economic reforms. APC leaders and supporters vowed to mobilise for continuity in the 2027 elections. Key attendees included Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, former governors, senators, party officials, and other state leaders. Notably absent were former governors Ibikunle Amosun and Gbenga Daniel.

Abiodun urged party members to speak with one voice, emphasising unity and collective action. He described the event as a convergence of visionary leaders and committed citizens, reinforcing the importance of continuity, strategic mobilisation, and organisational discipline.

Representatives of the Lagos initiative, including Ayinde and the Ikorodu Local Government Coordinator Japhet Odesanya, reiterated that the movement is a national engagement effort, designed to strengthen public confidence and disseminate information about the Tinubu administration’s achievements.

Southwest Renewed Hope Coordinator, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, expressed confidence in the President’s re-election prospects, highlighting the effectiveness of the outreach.

The National Patriots Movement welcomes the Lagos and Ogun outreach initiatives as a constructive bridge between federal policy delivery and grassroots public understanding.
However, for credibility, coherence, and measurable impact, both states should engage professional perception-management experts to design and drive a unified communications architecture.
This would ensure the deployment of verifiable facts, performance dashboards, vernacular messaging, community radio, market engagement tools, and structured feedback channels tailored to each locality, thereby strengthening trust and message penetration.

Beyond communication, the initiative must integrate visible intervention projects — mobile health clinics, youth skills programmes, MSME market support, and community infrastructure — so citizens can tangibly connect reforms with their daily realities.
Grassroots populations respond more to what they can see, touch, and benefit from than policy statistics, particularly within low-literacy demographics.
Importantly, this initiative can serve as a strategic test run — refining templates, measuring reception, correcting gaps — before structured replication across other geopolitical zones.
As President Tinubu’s achievements are national in scope, the programme must project inclusivity, avoid partisan optics, and build sustained national confidence through transparency, consistency, and community partnership.

These projects ought to be implemented in partnership with professional firms and advocacy groups for greater impact.
