In a statement by its Director-General/CEO, Dr. Abubakar Gambo Umar, the foundation said this year’s alignment provides Nigerians with a unique chance for national reflection and a renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence.

The foundation highlighted that the simultaneous observance of the two holy seasons emphasizes common values in Christianity and Islam, such as sacrifice, self-discipline, repentance, compassion, charity, and spiritual renewal.

Citizens were urged to embrace these principles with unity and mutual respect, using this period to overcome differences and strengthen the bonds that hold the nation together.

The foundation also called for increased compassion, encouraging kindness, support for the vulnerable, forgiveness, and reconciliation, along with a dedication to building a just, peaceful, and prosperous society.

Religious leaders were encouraged to use their platforms to promote unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, while political leaders were advised to avoid divisive rhetoric and foster dialogue and inclusivity for national harmony and sustainable development.
