As the 30th day of Ramadan marks the final moments of this sacred month, it is a time for deep reflection, gratitude, and seeking Allah’s mercy. Here are some hadiths that emphasize the importance of the last day of Ramadan, seeking forgiveness, and making du’a.
1. Hadith on the Acceptance of Good Deeds
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, deeds are judged by their endings.” (Bukhari 6607)
This hadith reminds us to end Ramadan with sincerity and devotion so that Allah may accept all our fasting, prayers, and good deeds.
2. Hadith on the Blessings of Ramadan and Forgiveness
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven.” (Bukhari 38, Muslim 760)
The final day of Ramadan is an opportunity to ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy, ensuring our efforts are accepted.
3. Hadith on Freedom from Hellfire
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah has people whom He frees from the Fire every day and night in Ramadan, and every night there is a supplication that is accepted.” (Tirmidhi 682)
The last night of Ramadan is an excellent time to make du’a for protection from Hellfire and to seek Allah’s mercy.

4. Hadith on the Power of Du’a in Ramadan
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Three supplications are never rejected: the supplication of a fasting person, the supplication of the oppressed, and the supplication of the traveler.” (Tirmidhi 1905)
Since Ramadan is ending, it is crucial to make sincere du’a on the 30th day, asking Allah for guidance, success, and blessings.
5. Hadith on the Joy of Completing Ramadan
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The fasting person has two joys: one when he breaks his fast and one when he meets his Lord.” (Bukhari 1904, Muslim 1151)
The last Iftar of Ramadan is a time of joy, but the greater happiness is when we meet Allah with our deeds accepted.
6. Hadith on the Reward of Fasting
Allah says in a Hadith Qudsi:
“Fasting is for Me, and I alone will reward it.” (Bukhari 1904, Muslim 1151)
Even though Ramadan is ending, its rewards remain eternal in the sight of Allah.
7. Hadith on Continuing Good Deeds After Ramadan
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.” (Muslim 1164)
As we conclude Ramadan, we should prepare for the next stage—maintaining our good deeds and fasting additional days in Shawwal.

Final Reflection
As Ramadan comes to an end, we should:
Ask Allah for acceptance of our deeds
Make du’a for forgiveness and mercy
Give charity (Zakat al-Fitr) before Eid
Plan to continue acts of worship beyond Ramadan
May Allah accept your fasts, prayers, and good deeds and grant you Jannah. Ameen.

On the 30th day of Ramadan, as we bid farewell to this blessed month, we turn to the Quran for guidance, mercy, and acceptance of our deeds. Here are some powerful Quranic verses that capture the essence of this sacred time:
1. Seeking Forgiveness and Mercy
“And say, ‘My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful.'” (Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:118)
As Ramadan ends, we seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for any shortcomings in our fasting and worship.
2. Acceptance of Good Deeds
“Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:127)
This du’a of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) reminds us to ask Allah to accept all our efforts during Ramadan.

3. Reward for Fasting and Good Deeds
“Whoever comes with one good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit].” (Surah Al-An’am 6:160)
The rewards of fasting and worship in Ramadan are multiplied many times, so we ask Allah to count our efforts among them.
4. The Power of Du’a
“And your Lord says, ‘Call upon Me; I will respond to you.'” (Surah Ghafir 40:60)
The last night of Ramadan is an opportunity to make sincere du’a as Allah promises to answer.
5. Freedom from Hellfire
“Whoever is removed from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained success.” (Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:185)
The last days of Ramadan are a chance to ask Allah to free us from Hellfire and grant us Jannah.
6. Gratefulness for Completing Ramadan
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor].” (Surah Ibrahim 14:7)
As we complete Ramadan, we express gratitude to Allah so that He blesses us with another Ramadan.
7. Continuing Good Deeds After Ramadan
“And worship your Lord until certainty (death) comes to you.” (Surah Al-Hijr 15:99)
Ramadan may be ending, but our worship must continue beyond this month.

Final Reflection
As Ramadan comes to an end, let’s:
Seek forgiveness and mercy from Allah
Make sincere du’a for our past and future
Remain steadfast in worship even after Ramadan
May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds, and may He allow us to witness many more Ramadans in good health and faith. Ameen.
