First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has called for a world guided by compassion and love, emphasizing that addressing global challenges requires humane values alongside policies and strategies.

She made the remarks during a church service at Lambeth Palace in London, held on the sidelines of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s two-day State Visit to the United Kingdom. The palace, the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, hosted the First Lady as part of her official engagements during the visit.

During the service, Senator Tinubu highlighted that while governments continue to implement policies to tackle complex issues, empathy and shared humanity are essential in navigating contemporary global challenges.

She led special prayers for the British royal family and world leaders, asking for divine guidance in their responsibilities. Following the service, the First Lady toured parts of the historic palace and met with officials from the Anglican Communion Office and the Anglican Alliance, which operates across 42 Anglican churches worldwide. She also signed the visitors’ register.

The visit was part of activities arranged for Nigeria’s First Family during the State Visit, aimed at strengthening diplomatic, cultural, and bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
