In a goodwill message on Friday, the Lagos APC described Eid-el-Fitr as a period of sacrifice, discipline, and unwavering faith, encouraging gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence. The party commended Muslims for their devotion and contributions to societal development, noting that the virtues observed during Ramadan—patience, generosity, and love—should continue beyond the holy month.

The party also reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive governance, religious harmony, and policies that foster sustainable development across the state. Signed by the party’s spokesman, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, the message wished Muslims a peaceful, joyful, and safe celebration.

“As a party rooted in the progress of Lagos State, we commend the Muslim community for their prayers, devotion, and contributions to the growth and stability of our society. We encourage all faithful to uphold the virtues of patience, generosity, and love beyond Ramadan,” the statement read.

Senator Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, also sent his felicitations to Muslims across Lagos, Nigeria, and the global Muslim community. He described Ramadan as a time for spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and renewal, expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting strength to complete the fasting period.

Abiru urged Muslims to sustain these values by promoting peace, tolerance, and mutual respect within their communities, while also praying for national guidance, stability, and prosperity, particularly for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Similarly, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) congratulated Muslim faithful and Lagosians, describing Eid-el-Fitr as both a celebration and a moment to reflect on love, generosity, and peaceful coexistence. He commended the Ummah for their commitment to fasting, prayers, and charity during Ramadan, emphasizing that these virtues are essential for a cohesive and progressive Lagos.

Adediran also encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly, remain security-conscious, and continue fostering unity and tolerance beyond the festive period, highlighting that Lagos’ strength lies in its diversity and shared pursuit of collective progress.

“Eid-el-Fitr is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for reflection on the ideals of love, generosity, and peaceful coexistence. I encourage all Lagosians to embody these virtues daily as we work together for a safer, inclusive, and prosperous Lagos,” he said.
