The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially re-elected Isaac Kekemeke as the South-West Zonal chairman. Kekemeke, together with seven other zonal executive members, was returned unopposed through a consensus arrangement at the APC South-West Zonal Congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium in Lagos.

Lagos had the highest number of delegates with 337, followed by Ondo with 245, Oyo 243, Osun 156, Ekiti 211, and Ogun 206.

Following the consensus arrangement, voice votes were conducted to affirm the election of each executive member. Jimoh described the congress as historic, praising the delegates for their role in making the event successful and memorable, and encouraged the new executive to advance the party’s goals in the region.
On behalf of the South-West governors, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended the delegates for their patience and loyalty, describing the congress as a model for the country. He urged the party to continue following its constitution and rules of engagement and expressed confidence that the new zonal executive would steer the party to success in the 2027 elections.

In response, Kekemeke thanked party leaders for entrusting the team with this responsibility and pledged to secure victory for the APC in the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Ekiti and Osun.
Statutory delegates at the congress included past and present zonal chairmen, governors, members of the National Assembly, principal officers of state Houses of Assembly, state party chairmen, National Executive Committee members, and other delegates. Prominent party figures in attendance were Governors Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), APC governorship candidate in Osun, Bola Oyebamiji, Lagos Deputy Governor Kadri Hamzat, and several former governors, senators, and party executives.
