Iranian authorities have reportedly mobilised more than one million troops as tensions with the United States continue to rise, amid fears of a possible ground invasion.
Reports indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump is considering a ground operation as a way to pressure Iran into accepting a proposed 15-point peace plan. The Pentagon is also said to be weighing the deployment of an additional 10,000 troops, according to sources.
Meanwhile, a military source within Iran claimed there has been a surge in enlistment, with large numbers of young people volunteering to join the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Basij forces, and the regular army (Artesh).

According to Iran’s state-run Tasnim News Agency, the country is not only organising over one million fighters for potential ground combat but is also witnessing a wave of enthusiasm among youths eager to defend the nation.
The source warned that any U.S. ground invasion would be met with fierce resistance, describing it as a “historical folly” that would turn Iran into a “hostile battlefield” for American forces.
It also referenced tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil route, stating that Iran is prepared for any scenario, including attempts by the U.S. to force it open.
The development comes as President Trump reportedly delayed planned strikes on Iranian power infrastructure, opting instead to pursue diplomatic options to ease the conflict.
With both sides maintaining strong positions, global concern continues to grow over the possibility of further escalation in the region.
