Kuwait’s civil aviation authority has reported that Kuwait International Airport was targeted in an Iranian drone attack, causing a large fire at fuel storage tanks. No casualties were reported.

Abdullah Al‑Rajhi, spokesman for the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, said the attack was carried out by drones launched by Iran and allied armed factions, describing the strike as “blatant.”
The incident comes amid ongoing tensions in the Gulf following US-Israeli strikes against Iran on February 28, which have triggered a series of missile and drone attacks across the region.

Elsewhere in the Gulf, Bahrain reported a fire at a business facility attributed to Iranian aggression, while Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed several drones.
In a separate incident, a tanker off Qatar was hit by two projectiles 17 nautical miles north of Ras Laffan, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). One projectile caused a fire that was extinguished, while another remained unexploded in the vessel’s engine room. All crew members were reported safe, and no environmental damage occurred. Authorities are investigating.

On Tuesday, an Iranian attack also caused a fire on a Kuwaiti oil tanker at Dubai Port, again with no injuries reported.
Tehran has repeatedly threatened to target critical infrastructure in the Gulf, including energy sites, in response to US-Israeli military actions.
