U.S. SENATOR CALLS FOR TRUMP’S IMMEDIATE REMOVAL, SAYS PRESIDENT IS ‘UNSTABLE’

U.S. Senator Edward J. Markey has called for the immediate removal of President Donald Trump, describing his recent statements as dangerous and unprecedented.

In a statement released in Boston on April 7, 2026, Markey said Trump poses a clear and present danger to both the American people and the world. He argued that legislative measures short of removal, such as a war powers resolution, would be insufficient to prevent potential harm.

“He has threatened acts on an apocalyptic scale, including the possible use of nuclear weapons. Congress must act now,” Markey said, urging swift action through constitutional channels. He outlined the process, stating that the House should pass articles of impeachment and the Senate must vote to convict, or alternatively, the cabinet and Vice President, with congressional approval, should invoke the 25th Amendment.

Markey warned that the stakes could not be overstated, calling the moment “as grave as the world has faced in the nuclear era.”

Separately, Republican Congressman Nathaniel Moran of Texas’s 1st district distanced himself from extreme rhetoric surrounding U.S.-Iran tensions. Moran emphasized that while the United States must maintain strong national defense, the use of military force must remain lawful and ethical.

Moran stated, “A President should act to protect national security, but always within the limits of the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution.” He clarified that while he has supported Trump’s actions when aligned with legal authority and security goals, he does not endorse statements calling for the destruction of an entire civilization.

He added, “America’s strength lies not only in our military power but also in how we wield it. Conducting operations justly and morally is essential to maintaining our global legitimacy.” Moran reaffirmed his commitment to protecting Americans while upholding ethical standards, concluding, “America is great because America is good.”

The comments come after President Trump issued a stark warning on April 7, 2026, claiming that “a whole civilization will die tonight” amid escalating tensions with Iran. Trump added that recent regime changes could potentially lead to positive outcomes, describing the moment as pivotal in global history.
