TINUBU JETS OUT FOR TWO WEEKS TO THREE COUNTRIES FOR OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENTS.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to embark on a three-nation trip, departing Abuja on Saturday for visits to France, Kenya, and Rwanda.

The trip was confirmed in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, Tinubu’s first stop will be France before heading to Nairobi, Kenya, where he will participate in the Africa-France Summit scheduled to hold from May 11 to May 12.

The summit, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on key issues such as energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, climate action, and reforms in global financing systems.

Tinubu’s participation is expected to highlight Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with African countries and France, while also advancing discussions around economic growth, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and technological innovation.

After the Kenya meeting, the President will proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum, scheduled for May 14 to May 15.

The forum, held in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, will bring together over 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore strategies for scaling African businesses, boosting regional integration, and driving cross-border investments.

During both events, Tinubu is expected to present his administration’s economic reforms and outline plans aimed at positioning Nigeria as a top destination for investment and sustainable growth. He will also hold a series of high-level meetings with global and African business leaders.

The President will be accompanied by some ministers and senior government officials and is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding his engagements in Rwanda.
