According to the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the operations led to multiple arrests and significant seizures of narcotic substances during intelligence-driven enforcement exercises.

In Osun State, a 65-year-old driver was arrested along the Ibadan–Ilesa expressway while transporting a carton containing skunk and methamphetamine. A follow-up operation reportedly led to the arrest of the suspected owner of the shipment.

In Borno State, operatives intercepted tens of thousands of Tramadol capsules along the Damaturu–Maiduguri road, with additional arrests made following further investigations. Similar operations in Jigawa resulted in the seizure of nearly 50,000 Tramadol capsules and the arrest of two suspects.

In Kaduna State, officers recovered nearly 300 kilograms of compressed cannabis during a highway interception, while a separate raid in Lagos led to the seizure of hundreds of kilograms of skunk from a market in Mushin.

Another operation in Edo State resulted in the arrest of a suspect found with various controlled substances, including methamphetamine and other psychoactive drugs.

The NDLEA chairman, retired Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa, praised the officers involved and urged them to sustain the agency’s intensified crackdown on drug trafficking networks nationwide.
