The National Secretary of the Forum of Nigerian Professionals in Politics, Ike Chidolue, has questioned the reported release of ₦800 billion by Nigeria LNG (NLNG) to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, describing the claim as lacking transparency and proper documentation.
Chidolue argued that such a large financial transaction would ordinarily require clear evidence, including official records, Central Bank of Nigeria documentation, and verifiable banking statements.
He stated that under standard compliance and anti-corruption frameworks governing both local and international financial operations, any such payment would need to be fully traceable and supported by proper paperwork.
According to him, the absence of publicly available records or verifiable details raises concerns about the credibility of the claim.
He maintained that without a clear audit trail, the reported transaction remains questionable and does not align with established financial accountability standards.
