Socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest has failed to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the House of Representatives seat representing Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The nightlife promoter, who also serves as Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, had entered the race to represent the constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

Before the primary election, he had purchased the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms, describing his ambition as a move to support youth empowerment and grassroots development in the area.

His entry into politics generated mixed reactions, with supporters praising his popularity and charitable activities, while critics questioned his readiness and experience for legislative duties.

The APC primary, held as part of preparations for the 2027 elections, eventually ended with him not emerging as the party’s candidate for the constituency.
Details of the final vote results and the winner of the primary were still unavailable at the time of reporting.
