Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has appeared before the presidential screening committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He arrived at the Transport Hilton Hotel in Abuja at about 12:20 pm for the exercise, which is part of the party’s selection process for its presidential flagbearer.
Atiku was accompanied by several prominent political figures, including former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, former Attorney General Abubakar Malami, and former Police Affairs Minister Maina Waziri, among others.
He is regarded as one of the leading contenders seeking to secure the ADC presidential ticket ahead of the upcoming 2027 elections.
