According to the party, the governorship primaries in Bauchi and Kwara states will now hold on Friday, May 22, 2026, instead of the earlier planned dates. In addition, the State House of Assembly primaries for Maradun I and Maradun II constituencies in Zamfara State have been rescheduled to Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The adjustment was approved by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) following consultations with relevant stakeholders.

The party explained that the decision was aimed at ensuring a more transparent, orderly, peaceful, and credible primary election process.

It further clarified that the changes only affect the specified governorship and state assembly primaries, while all other primary election schedules remain unchanged.
