President Bola Tinubu has expressed strong appreciation for Nigeria’s military and other security agencies, commending their efforts in the ongoing fight against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes across the country.
In a post shared on his official X account on Monday, the President described security personnel as a protective barrier between citizens and criminal elements threatening national peace and stability.
He highlighted the demanding nature of their duties, noting that operatives continue to work across forests, highways, creeks, air operations, and remote bases to ensure Nigerians can carry out their daily lives in safety.
Tinubu acknowledged the sacrifices involved in the fight against insecurity, stressing that security personnel have remained resilient despite the physical and emotional toll of their service.
He extended his gratitude to members of the Armed Forces, the police, intelligence agencies, and other security formations, while also recognising the families who support them behind the scenes.
The President also honoured personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, describing their sacrifices as essential to the country’s stability and survival.
He urged Nigerians to support security operations by providing timely and useful information, emphasizing that combating insecurity requires collective responsibility.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment, Tinubu stated that Nigeria will not be defined by violence or intimidation, and vowed that terrorist and criminal groups will not determine the country’s identity.
His remarks come amid continued security challenges in several regions, including cases of kidnappings, attacks on communities, and highway ambushes in different parts of the country.
